inspirational, gg. Good to hear your what and where. Details of pertinent history are always appreciated.

laughingwillow

Yeah, mon.  Good to see you around.

Oso faked his death back in the day and then of course he got indignant when the sham was uncovered. He has thankfully been scarce for many years.

Good to hear from you, gg.

I wondered about Oso.  I felt terrible about Oso.  I couldn't find an obit though....  I had this mental picture of how the phone call was going to go.  "Hey, Anabella (not her real name), is Jason (also not his real name) around?"  "Yeah? That's what I heard, but I could find the obit.  Erm, I mean, my condolances."

Faked his death? Da noive!

Really, that is psycho, imo. Petty petty. I wasn't following the drama closely, but I remember the posts describing his illness, and his "problems". I actually believed it all! Hah!    :beek:

The real mystery, to me at least, is Eddy.  Unless I am literally 'the last to know', and am not supposed to know, in that case, fine.  Otherwise, what happened to him? Last I heard from him, we were talking about me and some other folks moderating the news threads on the old spiritplants website, then he just let the website expire and never came around again.  Did he die or what?

a group of us, on peyote, had little to share with a group on marijuana

the marijuana smokers were discussing questions of the utmost profundity and we were sticking our fingers in our navels & giggling

I just heard that Orb/Sphere passed away....(edot)..I know he had a few troubles here and there, but after he got his meds straight, seemed like a good guy.......was contracting in Afghanistan, last I heard.....

I been scarce, got into a relationship....forgot about plants.....got a nice freestanding patch of Ringworms lunas though......

Hi to everybody, enjoy the summer :D
hmm..is the wind offshore yet?

Really? If true, that would be sad. I'll have to see if I can dust off my old Edot credentials and check it out.

Truth be told, we did not get along. At some point I became the explicit target of his paranoia, and he accused me of being all manner of enemies and adversaries (most notably his arch-nemesis, Keith at IAS). But I didn't dislike him, despite the fact that I found any kind of normal interaction with him impossible. You say he got his stuff together at the end?  that is good.

[But not to be a cynic, given his personality I could see him faking it, much like the old owner of edot did....]

I haven't been growing many plants these days, but I too have a few plants of the Luna strain growing (got the parent from Wyrm). Luna is an outstanding strain! Much hardier than Wasson-Hofmann.

.....I first joined the Internet when all that mess happened...he was just another wackjob....Like divinorimus...haha...Everybody is nuts anyways.... once those lines in the sand get drawn, jeez...

He joined Entheology (Keiths old forum, now World Eyes) when I was a mod there, and went through a few cycles of general craziness...but I think finding his feet through prescribed anti-depressents helped him quite abit.  When I talked on the phone, he seemed "normaL"  some folks who met him in person said he was "ok".....whatever that means nowadays....cept, I guess he is on our side, rather than the "other' side........ anyways, here the link to his works, he seemed dedicated to trying to find if salvia was a good anti-depressent....

something tells me Afghanistan is what got him.....but I have no clue. If I ever find out, I post it.

Yea, I wonder what ever happened to him (maybe a little off-topic, but I'm pretty sure Div was a member at the old SPF site). After he dropped off the "normal entheogen sites" I know he was still around and doing some stuff. At one point he took down his website (a normal-ish site), and posted an amazing screed in it's place, warning the human species--which somehow he didn't seem to feel a part of--how the Gaian intelligence now considers us parasites and we are on official warning. His site is still up, but it basically just says "go away, there is nothing here," or words to that effect.

[I remember the day he flipped. It was back in the USENET days, when people still actually posted interesting things on it. He took some combination--Salvia + something else (I think it was San Pedro or DXM) and was, IMO, exposed to more than he could handle, and as far as I know he never really recovered.  As with Sphere, the effects of his transformation were well-documented at Entheology.]

That's good. Paranoia always seemed to be his thing, but I can see how depression could bring that on.

I used to be an active member at Entheology (until Anna booted me for being "too heady, too intellectual" -- go figure), so I haven't really kept up with many of those folks, except for the ones who are active on the ayahuasca forums, of which there are several (Napoleon B. (who had a different nic there, begins with a "G", but can't remember it), Sach, and Druid, for example). They were a good group of people, although I think they started to take the "we're special beings with the divine mission to save the world" thang a little too seriously. There's nothing wrong with saving the world, but when you set yourself apart to do it and start casting people out, dividing the world into "inside" and "outside" --becoming God's Crown--then issues can arise.

Funny thing is, there doesn't seem to be nearly the level of melodrama and craziness on the entheogen sites as there used to be. Maybe the community is maturing and learning how to integrate the experience better. Maybe I'm just older and don't hang out on melodramatic sites anymore ;)

To me, Sphere seemed like a good guy, but one who's "issues" were getting the better of him.

I know the thing that got him into the entheogens in the first place was a mystical/out-of-body experience he had in the late 90's, and all his work was an attempt to get back there. I hope he found what he was looking for, I hope in the end he was able to get back home. God's speed to him....

Quotesomething tells me Afghanistan is what got him.....but I have no clue. If I ever find out, I post it.

Thanks.

I know at one point he posted an extraction protocol under his real name. I'll have to see if it's still on-line somewhere to see if any information can be had.

Yea, mine seem to flower every couple of years, but I've never gotten any seeds.

Div god some seeds once ("Andromeda"). I wonder if that strain survived.

Hey, varj. Not sure what other board you are talking about. Just re-read most of the thread and didn't see a reference I made, but I do faintly remember something to that effect. Might be the private, invite only entheo board mentioned above. (I'm not a member.)
