Gives about the same effect as oxazepam after 4 weeks.

very interesting, will give som of the papers a read when study dies down abit, the 'non habit forming' claims are very interesting too...maybe a weak agonist or jus low concs? will look into it eventually...

aren't the flowers the most 'potent' part of the plant?  or would it be better to take a tincture of the whole plant if using it for anxiety?

I am not sure, but I do know that the leaves are used.

Also an excellent sleep-aid.  Many "night-night" teas contain it as a major ingredient-- those put me right out in most cases when it's bedtime but I'm not particularly tired.

Dr Shulgin on the beta-carbolines in Rue :

Yes they do contain harmalines but it hasnt anything to do with the major effekt. That other compounds stand for.

In large doses you have to watch out for it though. But in any normal dose and over dose they doesnt mather.

Don't mix passionflower with other drugs or meds to be safe.
