*New Rock Album*: Beady Eye, *Different Gear, Still Speeding* (2012) . . . This is Oasis, minus one brother, & it is really good . . . got that Oasis swagger, Oasis sweetness, Oasis sound . . . I was doubtful, but after a couple of listens, I am a believer that one Gallagher brother with the rest of his mates can lead a really good band . . .

*Classic Rock Album*: Mott the Hoople, *Mott the Hoople* (1969) . . . Although these UK lads became much more famous later for their work with David Bowie & Lou Reed, from the get-go they rocked hard & well, bit of a Dylan twist to their noise, much melody, really good stuff . . .

*Storybook Time*: Continuing Chapter 5 of *The Acid Diaries: A Psychonaut's Guide to the History & Use of LSD* by Christopher Gray. . .

*Readings from *Labyrinthine* fixtion & *Many Musics* poems . . . & this week's featured artist is The Milk Carton Kids, a fine duo we had a chance to see up in Maine when they opened for Old Crow Medicine Show . . . Some weeks a bit more of a struggle than others, but hard work & dogged devotion to Art, however ragged, wins out  . . .
