Irie,
Would this scheme work? In a nut shell !
Get hold of a spawn bag....rice grains inoculated with a potent strain....//http://www.stuff-u-like.co.uk/erol.html#770x0&&http%3A%252F%252Fwww.google.com%252Fsearch%3Fhl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla%253Aen-US%253Aofficial%26hs%3Dner%26q%3Dmagic+mushroom+spawn+kits%26btnG%3DSearch
Then a large bag(40gal) of hardwood saw dust.....damp it down.....then add the spawn....shake up....
Wait a couple of weeks.....then spread the saw dust out in shady garden space...
Fruit a couple of times then take pieces of the pie and take it to local pastures.....
So before I go & fork out 40 quid....let me know is it possible? Are there any forum members that can make spawn bags? And are they up for a trade?

Wood chips are for growing cold weather mushroom species such as P. cyanescens, P. azurescens, etc.  You cannot grow the cubes (Although some have grown a small quantity of cubes in wood chips) this way.  You would need a composted pasteurized kind of straw and horse manure in your bags.

I am not sure if you are in the UK or in the USA.  But since you used the term quid, I am assuming you are a Brit, or someone who lives nearby GB.

If you did use the spawn of P. cyanescens then you would lay the wood chips into a mulched garden with fresh Ivy or Rhododendron bushes or a Rose garden kind of habitat.  If you were to dump wood chip patches into a pasture, you probably would not get any cyans or azures.

If you are using cubes then or possibly copes, then you would use a manured compost in your mycobags.  Not wood chips.  Manured composted spawn and mycelia could be  spread into a pasture, but you may not necessarily get any mushrooms popping up.  It does occur, but also very rare.

Different shrooms grow in different habitats.

It is hard to get a cube growing in a climate where it is not tropical or subtropical.  So as far as growing them and dumping them into your garden, you would probably get the same amount of shrooms as if you left the bags indoors in your place of residence.

Home growers have dumped their spent mycelia into their gardens and sometimes getr an extra fruiting in the summer months.
God is a plant known as the Earth!

Irie Boomer,
Should have said I'm in the tropics....a long way from where I was dragged up....yep UK.
Also the sawdust I have in many stages of decomposition.
So would I be able to add horse crap to the bag and further compost it?
I'm also heading up to Totola next month, heard they have the Pueto Rico variety.
May attempt a print......
