Albert Hofmann's 1958 Discovery of Psilocybin

I have been wondering, did Hoffman discover and syntheize; methamphetamine.  I though he maybe did.  Does anyone know who first isolated and syntheized methamphetamine?  That would be interesting to see who discovered methamphetamine.
