This is good but, there is no way in hell someone with a name so similar to Osama and whose middle name is Hussein will win any but the most left states.

why? are people that stupid?

oh wait, we elected a man named George Bush twice...

I heard today, that Bush can be elected a third time, if he wants to, and he explains the state of things. A president at war can run for president more than the two times.
Do you think this will happen this time? Or do you think Bush has learned his lesson, and will not run again. If he does, I dont think he will be elected, but it would send a weird signal to the world if the republicans let him just run for it again.

If george bush gets a third term I am going to shoot myself in the face, or move to Canada. Well, I'll probably just move, considering my options, there.

Barak Obama is tha shit, maybe his name will help to remind us who we should actually be going after.

I've heard some talk of a possible Clinton/Obama ticket. That'd be about the only way I wouldn't vote for him.

Over a year ago I predicted Hilary Clinton will be the next president.   It was kinda wishful thinking, but I really hope she wins. (not that I'm sexist or nothin'; I really like men).

What aspect of the 22rd Amendment allows a twice elected president to a third term???  None!

The text of the Amendment reads as follows,

Section 1

No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.

Section 2

This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several states within seven years from the date of its submission to the states by the Congress.

But George H. W. Bush could be elected to one more term.

My not voting for Hilary has absolutely nothing to do with her gender, and all to do with her politics.

I just want to make that clear.

Not including Vpirate, "Polls consistently show that about nine of 10 Americans say they would vote for a qualified female presidential candidate. But new research indicates a significant percentage of survey respondents are hiding their true feelings to avoid the appearance of being sexist", according to PhysOrg.

I will not vote for Hillary because I see her a merely an opportunist, not someone who is really interested in serving.

With the clamor over the Bush election in 2000, she called for direct election of the president by popular vote, wanting to scrap the electoral college.  Two problems existed with this idea - firstly, this would create the expense of runoffs potentially, and secondly she would have never been First Lady and had any soapbox to stand on since Slick Willie would have never won a runoff as the Perot voters would likely have gone back to Bush.

haha, Slick Willie, I love it!

"Thomas Jefferson warned against the formation of an "unnatural" aristocracy of men who inherited great fortunes and political office...(Yet if Hillary Clinton wins in 2008) and serves two terms, by 2017 the United States will have been governed by either a Bush or a Clinton for 28 years."

And when will Jeb Bush or the Latino son run and/or win?

There's a suck-ass prospect, Jeb running against Hillary.

That's a very good point from Jefferson, ty Syd, yet I still feel a season or two with the Clintons in charge again might pave the way for a more radical change in leadership in the future.

Hillary Clinton has a well-connected, well-funded political machine behind her...and nearly no support among the progressives in the US...the corporate media can try to railroad her into taking the Dem nomination all they want...unless she turns her tail leftward rapidly, she will not get it...there are a number of more progressive candidates already in the race...including John Edwards and Barak Obama. Clinton knows better than most that she is seen by the Left as a Washington establishment tool and, while better than Bush* (a pile of feces would govern better), not the preferred choice.

And if Al Gore gets in the race, which many, including myself, are hoping, she might as well go back home and call it a day. Clinton is smart but she comes off as an elitist establishment automaton. She'd have to grow and evolve as much as RFK did in the years after his brother was murdered in order to convince many she deserves the presidency. I hope she does, I really do, whether she wins the Dems' nomination or not. Right now, many do not find her very appealing compared to a number of other candidates.

I wander if she'll hire all new male interns.
