Definitely for the coming academic year, hopefully for 9 weeks in the summer preceding it.  Has anyone here been?  What's the situation there?  I have heard rumors that some things can be had there as they are more taboo than illegal, but never from someone who actually has had experience.  I know a few people who have been to Japan, but no natives and none of them are of the type that I would feel comfortable asking them about this subject.

Any information would be appreciated.

I believe Psilocybe and Peyote are legal there.

A friend just returned from a few week visit to Japan. He said that he did manage to smoke da ganga a few times, even though it is highly illegal. He also said that cannabis pills were available for that "extra strange" experience.....

An ex-Marine bro of mine told me that MJ is readily available and equivalent to kick-ass Thai in quality...  Said the herb was always a very light green.....................  Good Luck

Hey isd,
I'm going to Japan too from march to august(ish) 2007 to study.
I have met and talked to a few japanese, and also about drugs;).
What I have gotten to know so far, is that meth is easy to get, since the Yakuza imports and sell alot of that.
I know of some Japanese DJ's playing psy in the mountains there, and they have acid, shrooms, and other psychedelics.
Weed can be gotten, and some places grow wildly.
So the opportunities are there, you just gotta know the right people.

Where in Japan are you going to?
