KD and I had just returned from Thanksgiving spent with my folks back east...in fact we got of a plant that had nearly blown up in a lightning storm...on the ground, dazed, news cameras around, there was the calm hippy guy in the backround, tie dyed, greybearded, benign...

We drove back to Seattle and chilled at KD's and my place...JRL brought out his small guitar with a pretty, high sound to it, and he commenced to strumming up after we'd puffed with the green man...he played several originals, sweet numbers with cool, under the surface of things lyrics...

eventually i trod out some longhaired endless pome rant and we went to it serious-like jamming words to chords on and on and on...

too soon the three of us were hugging and sayin goodbyes...what a damned nice way to get back from the stresses of the week...thanks for coming, Joe, you're a good'un

PS--We toasted Judih with many happy thoughts :)

That's about the way it was. A splendid time was had by all.
a group of us, on peyote, had little to share with a group on marijuana

the marijuana smokers were discussing questions of the utmost profundity and we were sticking our fingers in our navels & giggling

You just have to ask!

Yeah it was great, from standing there with the limo drivers wondering if they would recognize me and visa versa (lol)  to pulling onto I 5 outta town it was a magic night.

So much we both wanted to say and ask, so much to share. I sang em my marriage song and a few of my other ones and then  a couple verses of Ripple, then Cen got out one of his epics and we jammed away.
He reads with so  much music that I was hard put to keep up with the twists and turns. But as time went on we got better at listening to each other and blending our rythymns, phrasing and dynamics. Talk of recording together insued.

We talked  serious, sharing like brothers and told funny stories. They looked so tired from the airplane ordeal, but I couldn't tear myself away. Finally I gave K a hug and Cen walked me to my van as we talked of politics and the glimmer of hope that the people of the world can come together to bring something good out of these dark times.

Bless you all for creating this space that I may come to know such wonderful people as Cen and KD. All love!

Well said JRL.  Just wish I could have been there to hear it all.  If you ever do an album with your songs, I would be very interested especially if it includes our latest one.
People who say it cannot be done should not interrupt those who are doing it.
