The stuff is not even in my mouth any more, but it is pulling on meeeee.

It was just a quick check on the plants health.

Can't type very well now.

I guess they are fine.  hehehehee

My apologies for the somewhat childish previous post.
This stuff never fails to surprise me - 8 leaves chewed for about 5 minutes.
Spat the wad before anything.
Then, whamo.
Pet the dog for some assurance of reality, but that was enough.

They sound like they're doing pretty well to me.   :D

Just so you know, your initial post was Mensa-level compared to the dreck that gets posted by the kiddies in some forums.  A quid experience is certainly something that one wants to share, in some way or another.

Hm.  Quid, eh?  Hmmmmmmmmm....
What I need is a strong drink and a peer group....

would that I had enough for a good quid left... but, I am quite enticed to journey into Salvia Space myself tonight or in the near future... likely, you'll be hearing more about that ;)

Go Winder!!!  I am glad some are trying the quid and reporting about it.  I feel that it is a much more different experience that lasts a lot longer than the Western ways and in my opinion is superior for "seeing" and teaching.

I would really like to try the quid method again, but I have a very limited amount of leaf left (maybe 1-2g of plain leaf) that was donated to me by another member of the past incarnation of this board (and I really don't like the idea of 'buying' salvia, nor do I have the funds to attempt, and likely fail, growing)

not that I have any extract, but has anyone tried quidding with extract enhanced leaves? this is something I've thought about... because when I tried quidding before, the mass of leaves plus the saliva was very difficult to handle without swallowing or dripping... so I think a smaller amount would be a little easier that way... would something like a tea-bag to keep the crushed leaves together work?

I read in a couple of places about how people take peyote and I find that if you rinse or spit a couple of times (just not too often) while quidding it is not so bad.  I personally steep about 20 leaves in hot water and sweeten the tea so that it is somewhat bearable to drink and do it this way.  I was also curious if this might work: if you were to boil the leaves for a couple of hours in minimal water (Just enough to cover them) until it forms a syrup, remove the leaves and boil down to a cake and use the cake to swallow.  Albeit it would be terribly bitter, it probably would be better than quidding.  Just a thought.  I guess I will have to try it before I say more. As for extract on leaves I too have thought of that, but the chemical extraction has never been very inviting to me.  Just my 2 cents.
