winter woes

Greetings fellow plant enthusiasts!

I thought I might take this opportunity to contemplate some indoor growing projects that I've been up to this winter. Although it seems a bit more like plant sustaining than growing to be honest.

It's been averaging about 10 degrees F in minnesota with humidity levels at 0%. Very inhospitable to non-house plants for lack of better terminology.

I've been able to sustain my plants with 400 watts of MH and a wick humidifier. Most of them look pretty good. My tomatos are even starting to fruit despite eratic light cycles. Wth the humidifier running 24/7 I can keep relative humidity in my basement at about 30% wich seems the minimum for tomatos and salvia d. It gets them through the day anyways.
If I have to endure four more monthes of winter I will need something more to get me through the day. Anybody have any suggestions?

Yes: Don't worry so much about humidity. I have had great luck growing both salvia and tomatoes indoors here in Denver area, which runs around -325.325% humidity indoors and outdoors all year long.

Same here, I think salvia adapts well to a drier climate.
