Anyone know what kind of bugs eat brugmansias, and how to stop them? Mine's getting pretty chomped on. It's still growing, but it's definitely food. However, I never see any bugs on it when I look.

Could be most anything. I'd try some BT bacteria just on a hunch that it might be slugs or worms of some type. BT is sold under the trade name thuricide and other names. If home depot or lowe's doesn't have it try a horticultural store.

My brugmansias are also attacked from time to time.

Usually plants that receive a lot of fertilizer are more attacked more often.

Look at the downside of the leaves for some very small ( usually green ) insects.
Some other insects use to attack at the very night!

You can fight against both with the manual way which is more ecologic!
