The best cactus for magic is that one over there, its just to the left of you by 678 miles or so.

I too am unsure what magic means...

I think he is talking about pulling a rabbit out of his hat. Holmes won't respond though. It's bullshit like this that turns this into another 'stoner" board.

BTW,a particular cacti i recieved last year is already doing it`s best to flower. three tufts have appeared on it,so the magic is still there. It got a little sunburn`t when I first planted it,las` season, but it is improving. Hopfully soon,i will have something to show...I might move it where it has partial shade.

Yes the blooms must surely be the most magical aspect of these wonderful cacti.

What species or clone is doing so much to bloom CJ?

The trich. came from another member, and the description was a WOH Pachanoi, the WOH standing for the company that sold these particular San Pedro`s.

The interesting thing about them is their proclivity to flower,so it was described to me by the person offering it. And,..it has tried!. I believe what I am seeing are the attempts.

I have many diiferent cacti, going by different names, yet this is the only one that , at least right now, wants to flower.

Yeah WOH to the RS...
Hmm,

I need one of the floriferous pachaniods to promote flowering in grafted trichocereus material. Any change that I might arrange for a trade with someone?  I have many rare cacti and hybrids, though rare is always a relative term.

I have plebty of cuttings available of the WOH short spined "peruvianus". I have never seen it flower or even bud, but it is a great cultivar, one of my favorites.
