Since the original post by Dogbane was deleted which also contained illegal data presented by the late Teo, I wanted to at Kemp's suggestion to bring back the literature data of Iboga by Italian ethnobotanist and ethnomycologist, Giorgio Samorini.

In the Nederlands, Iboga is used therapeutically to treat Heroin and cocaine addiction, as well as withdrawel.  Such therapeutic sessions cost as low as $700.00 to $1500.00 per session for a three day session with a therapeutic doctor.

It is used therapeutically for treatment in opiate addiction, and heroin and methadone withdrawal, and for cocaine addiction.

Seeds can be found every now and then in Smart Shoppes in the Nederlands, who are still legally allowed to sell Peyote seeds and cacti, and other entheogenic plants and seeds.  However, such plants are illegal int he United States, some in Canada and in many other countries of the world.

Iboga seeds are kind of expensive in the Nederlands Smart Shops, but living in a Dutch colony or in the Nederlands, a person should be easily able to order such seeds from anyone or any Smart Shop in The Nederlands since they are not illegal.

As for cost. I have no idea, but I saw pot seeds priced at from $20 to $400.00 per seed for Cannabis.

So I am sure whoever in the Nederlands has such Iboga seeds for sale, that they could cost whoever ordered them a pretty penny.

Some information about Iboga which may interest you.

This is about Italian ethnomycologist, Giorgio Samorini.

I have known and published articles in journals for him. He is also the publisher of the Journal, "Eleusis: The Journal of Psychoactive Plants and Compounds (Printed as 2 series, having 9 issues in the last one of Vol. 9, new series, 2005).

Check his website out listed below.

Dr. Samorini is the only white man initiated into the Bwiti cult, the legal religion of those in Gabon, Africa who use Iboga. What made that possible for a cult of African Ibogists to be able to exist is that the president of Gabon, the country where the Iboga religion is practiced and is legal, is because the president himself was an initiate into the cult when he was young adult and not a president of the country.

A few articles by Samorini on Iboga:

Funny thing is that I have an article pr two by Samorini in one of my issues or more of this journal.

I have some articles somewhere my files from a few back issues of "Eleusis" (In Italian and English) and/or "Integration: The Journal of Mind Moving Plants and Kulture" (in German and English). I will look for them and post them in a separate thread. They are in two languages in separate columns so I will have to scan them into portions to post them as jpegs.

Yes, iboga is an interesting plant. Definitely not a recreational drug. Govt seems to ban things almost arbitrarily. They read a report in a tabloid and rush out to pass another silly law.

I don't believe pot seeds are $20 to $400 a seed. That may be the price for 10 or 20 seeds. The per pack charge, not per seed.

Unfortunately I did not photograph the pot packets as I have no interest in growing pot anymore.  haven't in 25 yeas. BUt I saw packets which I assumed had one seed per pack priced in the range of @0-$400 dollars for the packet. I do not know how many seeds were in the packet

But for the record, here is a jar of seeds on the shelf in the lab at Chulalongkorn Universities Department of Microbiology.

Because of my shroom work at this school, they now have pot programs, peyote programs and kratom programs.  Something highly illegal in schools before I began my Thai research with the department.

I found this one gallon bottle of Thai seeds.
