Everyone, if you have an issue with <any members name here>, get over it. Life is like that.... there will always be people we don't like and people who don't like us. The bickering going on in almost half the threads lately is taking away from the high "signal/noise" ratio.

That said, I really think we need to define what a "personal attack" is. Several people have used the term lately and, honestly, as far a I am concerned, this board has not seen a personal attack in a couple years now. The petty shots/jabs at each other I can't consider an attack in any way. Take a look around the webs... that shit is nothing compared to what else goes on out there. If anyone recalls what used to go on at Edot years ago.... those were personal attacks/threats... people even created entire new websites just to either escape the bullshit (this is how Spiritplants was born) or to call attention to the reality of the situation.

What has been going on lately is nothing compared to back then.... but I keep getting asked to say something... so, here it is. If you don't like what you read on a post/thread, go walk your dog or water your plant. Then come back and decide if it is really worth replying to. If you don't get this, go hang out with your family until you do.

personal maintenance includes thinking twice before throwing negative vibes at someone. Community maintenance includes breathing deeply before assuming offense was intended by someone else.

If after breathing and thinking, things still seem off kilter, perhaps a small request for clarification via p.m. might be in order.

Sometimes i say something out of good intent but it might come across to someone else as mean spirited or sarcastic. Asking me outright to clarify might be the answer to smooth conversation. We're all learning the art of getting along.

So, in short, i commend you, kemp, for some sound advice.

Thanks for that Judih... but I guess i should also mention, I have been guilty of the same. Posting in the heat of the moment when I should have waited.
