We got any Tajheads out there? He is one of my very favorites. I used to see him in the 60s with his great trio with Jessie Ed Davis, he played around here all the time.

Used to see Taj alot on my local public TV channel..  Every time I heard his stuff it was just right, just really spot on... Makes ya wonder what that special sumpin is that some performers have....

Taj is the epitome of that special thing. I had a teacher that said "I want music to flow from you like sweat and piss". Now that's Taj, music just drips off him. He could go out on stagew with nothing and get the house rockin!!!

He's a heck of a nice guy to boot. After a free set in Sioux City a few years back he came out into the crowd and grooved to the next acts right next to us.

I saw a vid on TV called Taj Mahal Live from Santa Lucia with his current band The Phantom Blues Band. Great stuff!
