Howdee-hey, kids!

The better-half and I just returned from a couple-o weeks on da beeg eyelan of Hawai'i. We really had a blast.

I managed to catch up with dendro twice.  They were meetings I'm not soon to forget. I left his place feeling renewed and somehow rewired a tad on both occasions and it wasn't chemically inspired, as far as I can tell. Anyway, time sure flies in their beautiful little corner of paradise.  I'd publicly thank him for all of his eyelan hospitality if'n he wasn't such a private guy. (He appears to be even more of a hermit than I am.)  Anyway, beeg thanks to all in paradise who helped make this trip a memorable one.

Beside driving around the eyelan twice (4-5 hours each trip) we visited the place of refuge one day and attempted to hang at a nice beach by the kona airport another. However it happened to be closed on wednesday, so we went back to the condo and enjoyed that place some more.

Our routine consisted of breakfast on the lanai overlooking the ocean, followed by a couple of hours in the sun for Laura and snorkeling with the reef creatures and sea turtles for me. Then we'd go to town for lunch and a little shopping  as Laura saw fit.  A short drive back to the condo led to more sun and snorkel, followed by a trip to the grocery store for the fresh catch of the day. Sunsets on the lanai included performances by da whales on a couple of occasions. Dinner usually followed. I had a blast eating fish cooked or otherwise. Laura mostly went for the cooked. hehe The rest of the evenings were spent in bed, screens open to the surf crashing right below. SOmetime we watched movies Laura had brought for the occasion. Sprinkle liberally with eyelan inspired cocktails and da kine at any and all hours and you prolly get the just of it..

OK, when you get back then start posting again, darn it! Bragging about your vacation is nice but we need some red meat. Maybe a political argument or some pithy observations about plant or drug use. This place is dying and everyone is drifting away. I posted about my caapi blooming and no one even commented.

Congrats on your eyeland vacation and being able to meet with dendro. Merry Christmas mon.
