I am planning on making a tincture of my homegrown and of some of my enhanced leaf. Tips are appreciated, but please note that I am aiming for no more than a level 4 experience for most folks from this brew as it is intended for others use while I sit for them and they are inexperienced as yet so I don't want to toss them into seriously deep water right off.

That is how I went and it was both beautiful and very disorienting.

Alright, So what I have done is two batches--extract and plain leaf. I have moon-trip 15x that I tossed into the smaller bottle. I had around an once of plain leaf--now floating in a larger batch of everclear.

I may test the weaker batch on myself to determine dosage (I'm guessing a shot-glass). I can  do plain leaf w/o a sitter. Any idea what a dose of 15x+ tincture would be? a few drops perhaps?

Thanks

tincture is tricky to get to work....back orfthe throat is the best absortion area, rather than under the tongue....I think even with very very strong tincture, you need more than  few drops.....but don't quote me on that...best to do your own research and do the math correctly.
hmm..is the wind offshore yet?

I'd say 2 to 3ml of tincture at a time. Anymore then that tends to be too hard to maintain in the mouth, anyway. Let the tincture set under the tongue for a while, and then let it set near the back of the throat before swallowing it.

BTW, it is hard to even get more then a level 4 from SD tincture anyway, so I would not worry about hitting a level 5 from it unless one is either very tired, or there are other substances on board that the SD may synergize with.

Yea, I found out how hard it is to work with! The weaker version was a flop IMO, but one of my friends got off on it. Worse the need for a larger amount was more than slightly stressful on the mouth...yeck! Even diluted...

When making tinctures try to aim for at least 1g SD leaf eluded into 1ml of the alcohol solution. One usually aims for 2g leaf per 1ml tincture. However, at that concentration the tincture needs to be vigorously shaken before use, for the Salvinorin A will settle out of the stronger tinctures.
