The reason it is so high is due to the way it must be cured or dried. It takes a lot of time to dry it with out mold and It is a lot of work to harvest. It is not some small vine plant like a morning glory. IF your buying shreded vine then it should be cheaper yes because they aren't drying it properly. This vine must be dried in air conditioning. IOPan and I try to sell it at a reasonable rate. I was offering it out for free if you want to come help harvest it.
IOPan read your sites in the past and it's nice that we finally meet.

I just wanted to let you know that IOPan and I are getting everyone together this weekend to help gather up Cappi. You can take as much as you like. He is going to get fined if we can't get it under control. I am renting a bob cat this weekend so if you would like to come on down let me know and I will give you the address. It is an invasive vine mindcandy, if it is left to fend for itself. Though with proper grooming it can be a beautiful vine also, I hear it goes well in some brews of the ancients.

Syd is correct, It is not invasive in all climates tho. The vine is a plant that requires respect and time. It has been used by shamans. My life has not allowed me the proper time needed to care for the vine the past two yrs ;the vine itgot the best of IOpan and I. Thanks to all who showed up they left with some wonderful plants. It was a pleasure to meet some local Spirit plant friends :-D .
