So recently I have been spending a lot more or my time on the various trails here in the bay area (thousands of them).  I have been to get in better shape as too attempt some 3-5 day 40mi backpacking trips.  This hike proved to be a major test of endurance, and we barely made it back before nightfall.   So here are some pics to enjoi!!!!

The Start of the trail..

Coral Fungus (poor lighting:(

Tiger Salamander

Berry Creek Falls

Poo-poo plattah!

And nothing like a good break at the end of the trail........

Thanks, neo. Your photos sure make me miss that place. While I didn't do much hiking right in Big Basin, we did travel those roads frequently, as it was the easiest way to get over the hill. At first it was for convenience, but after I saw how beautiful that area was/is, the twists and turns at slow speed didn't bother me at all. Much better than being slowed by congested traffic like you see on Hwy 17.....

How'd you keep the beer cold?

Stick it in a creek? I hope it wasn't warm. Nothing like warm beer after a long day of hiking...

Varj: LOL Now, why do I doubt a little thing like warm temps would keep you from ultimately blowing the suds off a couple of heinies or twelve? hahaha

a group of us, on peyote, had little to share with a group on marijuana

the marijuana smokers were discussing questions of the utmost profundity and we were sticking our fingers in our navels & giggling
