Any thoughts on growing salvia in South Florida?  Are the summer temps too high for it to survive outdoors?  I imagine it would require some shade cloth as well.  Any input would be appreciated.

SOme shade should maybe do the trick. I'm guessing the heat and humidity of south florida will not harm the plant in question, but I've managed to kill plenty of sally plants up here on the prairie, so who knows...

Lost my boots in transit, babe,
smokin\' pile of leather.
Nailed a retread to my feet
and prayed for better weather...
