I hears an item on NPR about the drug testing of chess pl;ayers at the Asian Games. Any thoughts about what they might be looking for?
a group of us, on peyote, had little to share with a group on marijuana

the marijuana smokers were discussing questions of the utmost profundity and we were sticking our fingers in our navels & giggling

I love playing chess, but have no idea what drugs might be beneficial to ones game. I seem to do my best sober, well.. not quite sober, but baseline for me anyway.

I took most of my college exams on LSD to aid the flow of thought. The couple times I played chess tripping, I found it hard to maintain focus on the game.

My guess would be a stimulant as well.

I'll bet dosing on chess could potentially be as painful as dosing while ice fishing....

Oh man, dosing while ice fishing. Hmmmm, how about dosing while waiting for your freaking out friend to get strapped down and treated in the emergency room on Halloween night? Happened to my wife once.

4-mar or 4-methylaminorex is a stimulant with a long duration.

My guess is it will be the standard set of tests.  Coke, opium, marijuana, steriods...

I welcome the testing.  The local chess matches here have been getting out-of-hand.

...and as if from the inception of time itself I realized I was and had been for sometime, elsewhere, elsewhen or somehow, quite seriously, otherwise...
