tonight added Many Musics, xxxiii, Alki Beach Dusk, this poem from a really wonderful day at a local Seattle beach, journeying with KD, we watched the sunset for what seemed like high hours, watched a funny little man kick a soccer ball with some kids, sat in a hot dog shack and marveled how strange it all is...posted tonight from a strange, sweet, plain hotel in a small Oregon town, while journeying in a different manner ;)

how else to protest any war?
how to look at the details of what life is under war?
how else?
only to write heart open, and eyes prepared to see
vision sharing with open hearts and eyes prepared to stay open

culture clash on the streets
my country tis of thee
liberty a sweet thought
that needs to take root
in our own back alley............

tonight added Many Musics, xxxviii, Dash Point, KD and I past two years have gone camping here, near Seattle, and being in the woods, while these are not terribly wild, nonetheless sets me off a little...there is more to world than men and their mirror-bound kvetch--
