Bongo

Any chance for a forum related to movies that may possibly be in tune with the people on this board? I mean movies like Cabeza de Vaca and other such alternative state films not your average shoot em up movie.
May be interesting.

Ok let's see if I am replying to senorsalvia or myself here.
Hey that would be fitting of such a site to have post randomly exist in different threads simultaneously.
I remember on SPF there were a few posts about movies that may have some interest for people on the board. As you say though, there wasn't a great deal of it. I am wondering if this is because there really was no interest or because there really was no place to discuss such things? PS: The movie “Butterfly effect” was interesting and may appeal to some.

I've no doubt that the probable cause of my inability to post lies within the realm of my lack of 'puter protocol, not within 'da machine itself....  Speaking of the film genre though; I could appreciate some postings on films that are fairly outside the mainstream, films that used to be called 'art-house', and the like...  I know that there is now an outlet for such offerings ala Sundance/The indie film channel etc, but still, I think such flicks are sorely underrepresented in the main....  So Bongo...  I have named a film, as well as has T.B.  'cmon fess up,,  whatcha been viewing lately?  ------------  senorsal

I just recomended the movie “The Butterfly effect” in the thread above.
It has some disturbing scenes in it, well for me only one but it does sort of fit in when you watch the whole movie.
It is about a young boy who has sudden black outs, and then finds himself in other places. Can't mention any more or I will spoil the movie but it gets more complicated than it sounds.
It was rather good.

Eraserhead--I like David Lynch films generally, but that was too disturbing for me. The grim-yet-boring side of the psyche.

Anyone remember The Last Wave and The Valley Obscured by Clouds?

Butterfly Effect sounds interesting.

I really liked that Inuit film, in English it was called The Fast Runner. And that Mongolian film that was called Grass in English.
