freeethnoseedring hangs out here and at all the other major sites, and I have dealt with him before.  This is his site along with a few others from what I gather.

I was thinking the same thing Bro.  Only time will tell.

Well I sure hope to be around for a long time. The only reason I see for going under is not having any seeds or donations. This is one reason I am setting up a greenhouse to continue harvesting my own seeds and cuttings.

I am not out to get rich, I have plenty of other stuff going on, including an exotic animal rescue. I just have hobbies that I don't mind sharing with others.

hey ethnoseeds i hope its ok i posted the url in a public forum . I just came across your site because its a link at the bottom of disco cats signature at drugs forum . When i found your site i thought it was like the greatest thing ever . I too am with you that giving it away for free is the best way to protect the plants and I ALWAYS give away plants at the same price i paid or less. i NEVER take a profit on ANY plants. Some people obviously have to supply the community but i'm more concered about many people having access in 20 or 100 years then anything else . I would like to give away alot of sally cuttings but damn spider mites took over my plants ! I hope that many people donate and not everyone takes!

Cutting donations seem sort of like a pain in the but and i usualy don't  deal with seeds , only live plants. I know my heimia salicifolia should put out large amounts of very lightweight seeds so when it does (this fall probably) i'll be mailing them to ethnoseedsring . I think your doing a great community service ! I have many great plants in my garden and i don't think i paid for a single one except sceletium T. but that was back when kanna was tough to get a cutting but now everyone has it and mine happens to be dieing for some unknown reason . I did buy a caapi vine once and it got attacked by snails and died in one night . Some kind soul here sent me a free one and even paid the postage i think !thats worth like 50 bucks or was at the time and we all know caapi is tough to clone so no one gives it away. Its sad to see that alot of old faces have yet to return since SPF went down . I had to dig up my garden and move all the plants to my new house so many of them went into shock and are just now recovering .also spider mites are crazy here and almost killed my ayahuasca , HBWR, Sally  and a few more . ROAR! i can't control them because i live in an apartment complex with alot of green also the pine trees hang over into my yard and they are the host plant for the mites. anyways my point is ... when i get the plants healthy again and i can figure a way to kill all the bugs on cutting so i don't contaminate someones garden (going to try tobacco smoke in a tent ) when i get the cuttings i'll give them away here for the price of shipping to keep the SPF spirit alive.

Still here.

The fellow who actually started the ring, and handled the Canadian side, dropped out a few months back. He had not had any requests and only a couple donations of seeds. So due to lack of funds he dropped out.

 However I am still here.
Some of you may know me from other boards as Llamabox. I am a member of many forums, and even a moderator at Mycotopia.

I am trying to rework the website and update the seed list but I just moved and have been running a bit behind. Between the forums and 3 kids it gets so I just don't have enough hours in a day to get stuff done.

Alot of the donations we have been getting are small numbers of seeds. Because of that it is difficult to post them on the site, as I only have enough for 1-2 people. I have been trying to get to different sites and give out stuff when I can. I always give quite a broad selection of seeds also.

Of course Tax season will be coming up so I can restock alot of the seeds that get requested most. And while we are still in harvest season I have yet to get donations of harvested seed. But I have done a bit of picking so we should be stocked up for quite a while on Datura inoxium and Ipomea violacea.

We have had only 3-4 donations of cuttings, and those people usually want to get other cuttings right away, so our cuttings list as not grown much. I am thinking about cutting a few of my cacti up to use as mothers and just have them pump out small pups all year to help supply the ring.
But then we get into shipping issues. It would be great if those who wanted cuttings would offer to pay for the shipping, put it does not always happen. So basically I am trading a cutting and it is costing the ring money to do it.

But hey we are all just here because we love the plants. I don't know about the rest of you, but I have never even tasted any of my plants.
I know some of you will ask, "Then what is the point"? Well I like plants, and I like entheogens, but trying to bring yourself to kill something you raised is pretty tuff.

Well I guess thats enough of a ramble on my part. I hope you are all doing well, and I am sure I will talk to most of you again......

ive known this guy for quite a while, hes very generous, and his packages always make me smile the most. he sent me alot of free gifts on my birthday, which is more than i could ever repay or thank enough for, and he directs people to me when i need business selling cuttings. hes a good person to know and be around, and his posts are usualy quite informative.
i wouldnt hesitate for a second to trade or donate to this ring.
