sorry, but i don't like this idea at all. The admins and moderators have those roles because of their profiles and there is no reason why they can not be a perfectly adequate team.
Makin another one is like re-inventing the wheel.

My only question on the matter is that did I not consider the full range of possibilities.

      I`m going to favour those who brought up the site first,but there are other very intelligent people,who give this place some flavor. Is Jiku being left out? Finbar to me adds demension.(or three)

Thats what we have done. Same Mods. New Admins.

Ok, who else wants a revamp? This post has been open and I see mainly you me and cass posting. Judih and CJ both seemed to nominate near the same people. Mods and Admins again.

If ANYONE has a problem with a mod or wishes to become a mod they just have to ask! Dont start voting because then people might get put in a place they dont want. If people want to do something, or want to contribute, there is no problem with that! they Propose their idea in a new thread like you did and people will weigh in with their opinions.

The very existance of this thread goes to prove that we are listening to you and willing to be open to your ideas. I'm sorry they never caught on and some people disagreed with your idea. But dont make it personal because of that.

This is a serious subject. Isn't anyone interested in who will be running spf? I'm not looking to be on the board but I'd like to know who is. Who is running things while we decide? Is it Andy? cenacle seemed to be administrating things for a while, are you still doing that, cenacle? I'd like to see this discussion revived.

This is the first time I've peeped this thread. (But I read the whole thing.)

I think the best thing to do right now would be nothing out of the ordinary. Maybe a little bidness as usual is just what the community needs, at least in the short-term.

I hate authority and have no desire to be a leader in the traditional sense.... But I sure would like it if the admins/mods were also regular forum posters. Spf has been a daily home for a bunch of us for many years. For much of that time, the admins and some mods have come around to fix problems, but seem to have little interest in posting here on a regular basis.

I've been posting regularly at SPF since the first week, and a couple years at edot before that. My posting numbers aren't as high as some heh, but I have posted steadily, I've fucked up some, but I try to contribute. I've seen a lot of people come and go at this site. Some get very involved socially for a time, then disappear. Most of the members here now are newer than me.

I used to trade a lot, gave it up when the ripoffs got to be too much and postage went up. I don't chat, or socialize much beyond the forums.

I posted in the first couple weeks here at SPR, made contact, was ignored, and some of my posts have disappeared.   :?

I vote Raver for admin, but does he want to do it? Think we can get Wyrm back? How 'bout you, Jacko?

BTW, Stoney, re: "serious". Do not minimize the Spider Army, they assure me they are very serious indeed.
