Sal A and Persistent Psychedelia....  Thought that might grab the attention; but really, I have been hesitant to bring this out in a public forum before now, due to possible ramifications/implications...  Anyway, here goes::::   I gotta state that since I found Salvia several years ago, I have virtually given up smoking "the 'ole standard"...  Ya know, the cost/availability or lack thereof, AND, not to mention the illegality of the herb in AmeriKKKa...  Truth is, I might toke MJ a time or two a month, if that much.  Salvia just is hands down, more to my liking....  That said, I have noticed for over a year now, that whenever I smoke even 3-4 tokes of standard chronic, that I am catapulted into a mental and emotional state that can only be described as "really ripped/buzzed out/fried/ what have you....  It's as if I have been smoking bubble hash for the entire afternoon!!!  Now, here's the really 'out there' part..   I can toke 3 hits on a standard joint and remain altered and in a buzzed up state for 6-10 hours, with residual slow comedown lasting another several hours!!!!  I gotta ask, how tha hell can this be??  Since I so rarely indulge in Pot, I first just thought I had gotten some way above average potency herb; but this can't be, cuz it has been happening with mediocre street commercial stuff as well as 'mean green'....  Is it possible that Salvinorin A has altered my serotonin receptors?? I mean, don't get me wrong..  I don't really mind bein able to do a coupla tokes and be blissed out for half a 24hr period, but c'mon folks, that just isn't normal eh?  Does anyone out there have any thoughts on this, or has senor merely found Shambala???--------------------  sal

Hey Sal!!

In my opinon, it has much more to do with your sensitivity and infrequency.

I also indulge rarely in that lovely Sleepy Sister of mine named MJ...and when I do, I have to say that I don't quite feel the same until I sleep. (Reboot!)

Again, I don't think its that Sally worked you up, it's that you know how to listen much more closely.

Interesting analysis Liz, and thanks for your musings...  So, 'ya actually think that Sally can somehow fine tune your perceptions to be, shall we say, acutely aware of altered state status??  Yeah, I can understand that outlook, but I must say that this hypersensitivity seems to be singularily applicable to my intake of THC...  I mean, I've also indulged in alcohol/research chems and the like, but have not had this occur...  (belive me, my intake of booze or RC's is on a far more random basis than other entheos)....  Kinda weird eh???     ------sal
