Finally some good news but don't know what good it will do.......
This link from BBC News claims that Church of England bishops suggest that christian leaders apologize to muslim leaders for the Iraq war...

BTW, I haven't properly introduced myself. I am an alternative healer in Ca. who uses a number of (legal) treatment methods to help others with mood and personality disorders. I am seeking refuge with those of like mind who have a deep fascination with the plant people (as I have), lean to the left as opposed to the right, and are of good humor. I try not to take myself too seriously and I hope you won't either   I'm very excited about this site and all the possibilities...
Blessings to all...

Welcome, you sound like you will be right at home here.
a group of us, on peyote, had little to share with a group on marijuana

the marijuana smokers were discussing questions of the utmost profundity and we were sticking our fingers in our navels & giggling

Welcome aboard:  Seems like another kindred soul has found our lil niche..   Enjoy your time here and do please tell us more about yourself and especially about the treatment/healing aspects of the plant allies you incorporate into your healing practices....   I for one find that Salvia beats anything else pharm or natural for depression relief............   sal

If Christian and Muslim leaders would come together and tell their followers they must not fight in this immoral war - it could end very fast.  Without Muslim and Christian soilders fighting there wouldn't be much of a war.
...and as if from the inception of time itself I realized I was and had been for sometime, elsewhere, elsewhen or somehow, quite seriously, otherwise...

Thanks for the welcome. I work with herbs, vitamins/supplements, the approach being more eastern than western. I don't prescribe salvia as I have a mainstream type practice with an acupuncturist and physical therapist...I often get referrals from MD's and psychologists. The other methodologies include Energy healing and hypnosis, with some shamanic techniques at times depending on the case. I have studied Shamanism for a few decades and that has stimulated alot of interest in plants. I am particularly interested in plants that give one "personal insight" into their issues...

Yes, toostoned I agree. Religious leaders should be opposing the war...it's their job to take the high road. The Anglican community makes up about 27 million out of 40 million people. The press paints a picture that the UK is "with us in the war on terror" but that's propaganda. There are no Christian fundamentalists running the show over there. Catholics make up 9 million, and 1 million Muslims. The media claims what they like to make the US look good. The pope (John Paul II) also has consistently disagreed with the war as well.  So you have a majority of people in the UK who oppose the war due to religious reasons, but that's not how the press paints it, is it?

Welcome aboard and hope to hear more from ya.  I like your style already!
People who say it cannot be done should not interrupt those who are doing it.

Welcome Shamanatrix :)

I think you have stumbled upon the right place !  As far as the war goes indeed you do not see enough religious leaders condemning it ( not that im religous but one would have though that would be a priority of theirs ).
