extract from calea

I'm new to extractions, so could anyone post on how the best method would be to extract the active chemical from dream herb.  I have a medium sized plant that looks like it's at the end of it's days.  So I'm going to make the best of it.

I don't know whether it's the best method or not, but I would suspect that soaking the crushed plant in everclear for about a week or two should get the vast majority of any goodies out. Filter, evaporate and consume.

I'd probably use IPA just for the sheer fact that I'm poor and saving the extra couple bucks would be nice. 'Course it could be somewhat toxic if you don't get all the IPA out, which is tricky for some, it seems.
