My datura's just flowered a few nights ago and took a few snapshots.  I think they're great flowers, but not so great as an entheogen.

I believe they are belle blanche, but I'm not positive, I acquired it in a trade and an exact name was never given.  If someone could help me out, I could get more close-up photos.

One year I grew datura metel double purple. They were small till I put some in the ground. Pretty soon they were 7 ft tall with thick black stems and tons of flowers.

They had a heavy witchy vibe. Hmmmm

How long does the seed stay viable?
a group of us, on peyote, had little to share with a group on marijuana

the marijuana smokers were discussing questions of the utmost profundity and we were sticking our fingers in our navels & giggling

datura have the most beautiful of flowers,
i also grew some metel, started the seeds in a baggie but none seemed to sprout, another bag w/ seed tray even got placed over top, then i went to throw it away one day and there there were, 3 heatly strong seedlings beating the odds.

one survived to maturity, the other 2 got sun burned... most amazing flowers!never set seed tho..

the scent was amazingly powerful, almost scary, made u not wanna mess w/ it...

speaking of atropine, had a pharmacology practical today, we were dosed with atropine..very small dose tho, got a bita light head nd blurred visuals but nothing profound..according to the demonstrator, 2 was more 'interesting'..

Here's a picture of toe I took at a curandera's compound in Peru last month:

Very beautiful.

I've never really done much work with toe or other solanaceous plants, although I did have mapacho wrapped in a teo leaf during an ayahuasca ceremony. It caused my head to explode in a nice way!

The seeds of datura have been stored for 32 years and have come out with 90% germination rate at the end. The seeds sprout much better with some light hitting them. I believe it was 10% germination in utter darkness and 75%+ with light hitting the seed.

I jsut had a minature datura stramonium seed pod burst. Got around 200 black seeds. I have a datura double creme im hoping with flower and seed first. The growth had practically stopped in a pot. When put in the earth and contacting its power, the plant just soared 2 feet higher in a week. i have a strange datura stramium with purple flowers i found at an aunts farm. Grabbed about ten plants. Have a datura inoxia (meteloids) thats a bloody tree. Has about 12 seed pods. Very nice, two fowers a night almost.

Hey Neonaut, Those wild D. Wrightii in Cali are beautiful.  Is there anyway that I could get some seed of those.  I just love the pastel colors, Man what a plant!!!  I wish all of my datura's were of that caliber in size.
People who say it cannot be done should not interrupt those who are doing it.
