I may get to see some flowers!!

Two things at the moment are occuring. One is that my Cereus Peruvianus is truly forming several blossoms. jus` short of opening up.in fact. I`m very interested as to their appearance.

Secondly, either my Luther Burbank,or my SS01 is in the first stages of forming a blossom, the tag got lost when another cacti came crashing down on them in a storm, and they are very simular looking cacti. Anyways, would love to see a blossom of course from that cacti also.

I`m beginning to understand more might flower in later summer, and one cacti has already tried once. If any of this does occur,I will photograph it and try to post it!.

Very cool!!
A pollen exchange project is in the works, though not ready yet, to assist in making viable pollen available for breeding efforts and to allow breeders to overcome differences in flowering time.

I am fascinated as to the similarity of the Burbank and the SS01 that you imply, I have understood the latter to have less aggressive spines and be more prostrate, but then those things tend to vary with size and conditions.

I'd love to see some pictures.
I hope it blooms for you.
