Stunningly beautiful! Thanks!

What kind of insects prey on Salvia?

when they are younger, many smaller bugs like aphids, and whiteflies and other sucking bugs....as they get older they seem to get stronger (more chemicals to ward off attackers?) and the only thing that affects them is snails....seeing as how succulent salvia plants are, its surprising that the snails aren't REALLY attracted to them........feel free to save for yourselfany pictures I ever post, anyone out there.....

Hopefully that last one has not shot it wad making the inflorescence.

When I had an indoor blossom, the whole plant shortly thereafter died.

May yours live for years to come.

Well....a giant oak tree branch crushed them to roots and splinters.  Currently survivors are 1 to 2 feet tall, but its been along road. (5 months) glad I had taken  cuttings and spread them around.  These plants grow alot quicker from cuttings than they do from their below ground roots, but its been educational.  Plants maxed out at 12 ft, by climbing ontop of
 hedges......Jeez I thought I had received a message.."don't grow salvia"....nope...just " don't grow salvia under rotted trees!"

Here is my first plant ever. It was sent through the mail and wasn't in the greatest condition which is why it was cheap. It seems to be getting better.

Here is a closer look:

I know it isn't much but it is my first one.

yeah Bear...I still remember the stoked feeling I had when I got mine......everything came from them.....Your'se are looking good....add some extra light hours down there(new Zealand) it will help them though short winter days....and then when summer comes, they will really take off.
