When i took over this forum i said i would give it back to space if/when he returned ... and here he is

As before, I am tickled to be associated with the very notion of "moderate" and that's what I'll try to be:  opportunity for growth, for sure!

Cassie's offer to return me to the moderator fold is one of the nicest, kindest things to happen to me in a long time.

I am determined not to disappear again:  with the exception of a few in-hospital surgery days, prolly around mid July, I hope to haint you all daily.  Barring complications, my long medical odyssey will be over.

Moderator philosphy?  Be good to each other.  If you write something in anger, set it aside a little while and reconsider when you are cool again:  there's always time to be hurtful--all the time in the world may not be enough to raise a bridge from the ashes.

And don't yell at me.  I hate that. :wink:

Thanks, Cassie--it's great to have you there, esp. while I dot the i's and cross the t's on this surgery thang.  When I do go in-hospital for it, I'll be offline for a week or so, unless my recovery room is a hotspot:  hell, it's Yale--must be a wireless net somewhere in the area I can hack or social engineer.

Just think:  after all these years of avoiding that very thing, I'm actually going to pay somebody to cut my throat!

Looks like it will be early to mid-August:  I'd like to do it now but the preop process is slow and careful.   I guess that's good, but I'm eager to sign up for the tree-climbing school that starts early next year, and I need time to recondition my buns of steel.
