Stoney says:

"I'm not impressed with this guy at all. I hope he doesn't represent the majority of the Mormon's."

yeah he kinda does.

Nope, mok. You aren't being attacked. We are attacking the content of an article you posted. You should feel defensive only if the author represents your viewpoint. And even then, its the author's ideas we are discussing here.

Relax. I get little pleasure out of sparring with the defenseless. I won't bother with attempting to pick your brain from here on out.

Btw, I watch South Park, so I know all about the mormons.....

I'd gladly exchange the smugness mentioned above for a little debate on the topic at hand. But apparently, your version of "being nice to one another" precludes that sort of mental exercise, eh?

Dum dum dum dum dum!

Really though, my landlords are mormon, and are very nice reasonable people, no matter what set of bullshit propaganda and story-telling they belong to.

That aside, I laughed the hardest I ever have at that episode of south park. Dum dum dum dum dum! Bwahahahaha!!

I only read a peice of the article before giving up on it so I don't have much to say about whatever that rambling fool had finished saying.

Hey, if people aren't going to debate on the subject at hand, let's let it go or take it out of here to the Cave.  You kids play nice now.  :)

Back on topic --- I just find it weird that someone bothered to write an article that spent so much time whining about how fundi Muslims were being unreasonable when participating in riots and other acts of violence.  Well, no shit, Sherlock--- did it really need to be said?  Nevertheless, that attitude completely precludes any examination of why that behavior is considered acceptable, even admirable, in Muslim culture, which could be used to prevent that sort of behavior in the future.

So many people seem to be content in knowing that the other side's behavior is morally repugnant, not bothering to figure out why the other side finds it the opposite.  Wanting to understand the "Other", whether they are your enemy or not, is not the same as being a sympathizer.  This seems to be a distinction utterly lost on what sometimes seems to be the majority of people in this country.
What I need is a strong drink and a peer group....

Right on, man. I was thinking along the same lines this morning at work whilst contemplating the subject at hand.
