Anyone have any contact with our bruddah from Hawaii?

He had some health issues and I haven't heard from him in awhile. And it appears the town his family calls home is getting over run by lava as I type...
Lost my boots in transit, babe,
smokin\' pile of leather.
Nailed a retread to my feet
and prayed for better weather...

judih

oh my god.
first no word and then smote by lava?
please, dendro- send a signal

a group of us, on peyote, had little to share with a group on marijuana

the marijuana smokers were discussing questions of the utmost profundity and we were sticking our fingers in our navels & giggling

Hello everyone. I haven't been here for quite a while.  Kinda surprised to get an email from DI. Haven't been to nook or any entheo sites for years. The frustration factor outweighed the fun or utility.

I've been busy working, growing and marketing aya and tending my acre. And so far, the lava is 9 miles south, in Pahoa town. Hopefully Pele goes to the sea and satisfies her desires there. Or whatever it is she wishes to do. She is kind to us, and protected us from yet another direct hit from another potentially devastating hurricane this summer. Thank you Tutu Pele!

In '11, I ended up in surgery bleeding internally, mostly dead. Somehow, the surgeon stopped the bleeding, and I was sent home to die with hep c and cirrhosis. I wasn't quite ready for that, too many family responsibilities and unresolved karmas, so I learned herbs, cleansing  etc., and mostly raw veganism, and altho very ill, somehow  the body survived until new hep c meds cured the infection this summer. Now I'm actually recovering and feeling well, able to digest foods and do more work. Labs are improving, and I'm currently working on growing new liver cells. Please wish me well, thanks!

Still doing kriya yog sadhana, atmapranakarma. I no longer smoke, but I drink high cbd cannabis juice, and some aya. Me and the missus hang out together, loving each other and our kids, gkids and friends. Life is good.

So that's what I've been up to. Getting better everyday, O Supreme! Creating reality like Cooper in "Interstellar". Love is the equation, with love all things are possible, love love love

"I am Spirit, I am Truth, I am Love Divine! This body/mind a dream of mine..."

Sounds good, Dendro. I'd be interested in hearing more about your hep c cure. I got so many friends with it in various stages. A lot of them are hesitant to deal with interferon's expense and side effects. My brother put a fear of needles in me early on or it could very likely have been me.

Welcome back dendro, its good to hear from you , its been ages. Never believe what the doctors say if they tell you you will not recover. I've proven them wrong before in smaller things myself. I heard something about the new hep drugs, its great that they are working for you.

Dendro - how fascinating to hear your story. And that you've been cured of hep c and are regenerating liver cells, well Yes! May the spirit be strong!

JRL, I succumbed to just one shot of smack given by a wayward buddy I hadn't seen in a while, it was like a bro thing, and I was way too stoned and dumb as dirt. Never did it again, but, well... He died of cirrhosis ten years ago, as have some other 60's friends. I didn't drink, so I lasted just long enuff to get the new meds.

Yeah interferon is crap. I took sovaldi with ribavirin, which still made me ill but not so bad as with interferon, now just a few months later they have sovaldi with olypravir (sp), both protease inhibitors, and side effects are very few. More such drugs are soon to arrive.  But depending on your insurance, you have to have a pretty high MELD score to get them, as they are very expensive, so they are currently reserved for the critical. I was crashing hard in May, so I was approved. Doc tells me I will still need a transplant in a few years, but he is old school, and doesn't believe in regeneration. Plus, there are new drugs in the trials pipeline that promise to reverse cirrhosis as well, which could regrow a liver very quickly, and restore full health. Target date for Galectin is early 2016, so we'll know soon if the stage three trials are successful. Stage one and two have proven successful. In the meantime I take a large cocktail of ayurveda and Chinese herbs, cleansers, and vits/mins, anti-oxidants,  green coffee enemas, ozone implants, etc. which have known efficacy in regeneration and reversal of scarring. I do have an enlarged spleen, very low platelets, portal hypertension and some foot edema, but symptoms are steadily improving now that the virus is inactive. Diet plays a key role in liver health as well. The combo of alpha lipoic, milk thistle and selenium helps keet the viral load down while waiting for  the drug cures. A clean bowel, raw veg juices, and alkaline electrolyte rich foods do wonders. Organic sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium. And of course, raw cannabis juice.

I hear ya Stoney, our "inner resources" are far more powerful than pharma pills and surgeries. When it comes to life and health, we are the best doctors after all. Our faith and intentions work divine wonders! And thanks to the internet, we have access to more knowledge than ever before in modern history. My motto---never give up!

Thanks Judih for the kind good wishes, and I also wish for continued strength and love to flow thru your family, a brighter day is rising for us all! <3
