Day 1:

I Setup a Versagrow 10 pot hydroponic drip system and added 1 sickly looking Salvia divinorum cutting. Water Ph is 6.0 and next watering it will be taken up to 6.5.  I also have an air pump to oxygenate the water. Light setup is a dimmable (1000w, 600w, 400w) digital MH/HPS ballast set at 400w and running a MH bulb. Temperature 26.3C and humidity 53%.

Nice. I'm sure you know you are wasting over 90% of your light power? Flouros will do the job at this stage and you don't want to overwhelm your cutting with light. I should think salvia would do well in hydro. I think any plant would. I found that aerating the water to be key as well as ph control, when i grew other plants in hydro.

The hydro setup was on the outside edge of my cactus growing area. The plant died and I wont have time to start new cuttings for a few more weeks.
