Thanks to all, I didn't see this thread so I posted one of my own about said award.
a group of us, on peyote, had little to share with a group on marijuana

the marijuana smokers were discussing questions of the utmost profundity and we were sticking our fingers in our navels & giggling

Thanks JRL, its been a wild ride to say the least. I'm definitely glad to hear your Brugs are still doing well. I've moved continents twice and as always I've continued to love growing out seeds and what I find most fun... pollinating and watching and hoping for different genetics to show themselves. Unfortunately, I've had to get rid of thousands of plants/cacti each time I've moved so here I am again starting fresh and working towards some new goals. I have a small handful of Astrophytum seeds I've recently planted in some cat litter sitting here beside me. Unfortunately, I've had to get a green house as I no longer live where I don't have to worry about freezing. I'm really surprised I don't see more hybrid seeds being created or even regional crosses being done within the same Genus species... i.e. intra-specific hybrids and regional hybrids or population hybrids. Never mind the more fancy intergenerics like those astrobergia.

The Dr Suess cross is our favorite. I love comong home and smelling them from down the street.
