I know about Carol Kaye, great important player. Not so great human. She claims to have played on some of the Motown hits that were clearly immortal iconic masterpieces by the father of modern bass playin James Jamerson. Kind of like claiming to have writtien say "I Am the Walrus" Not sure how or why she does this, but I have heard the raw tracks and Beethoven could hear that it was James, and Ray Charles could see. it's weird because she has plenty of her own legit credits. Thats her on Good Vibrations.
