Lovely, Stinky Noni

Anyone interested in some Noni seeds?

Noni, for those of you who haven't had the pleasure (!) of tasting, is a lovely plant which grows/ is cultivated all over the South Pacific. As far as I'm aware, it was historically used as a famine food here in Hawaii, though recently it's gained some fame and excitement due to possible cancer-fighting properties. You can buy Noni juice for exorbitant prices in most health food stores.

The plant itself is beautiful and hearty, and loves full sun. It has large, shiny, dark green leaves, and I'd guess that it would do well as a houseplant.

The fruit turns white and mushy when it's ripe. I love to eat it (much to my wife's disgust) though it's definitely an acquired taste.  

My Noni-tree is going gang-busters, and I'll be more than happy to send some seeds on to any interested folks.

The seeds should be as fresh as possible, and they need to be scarified prior to planting.

Trades are welcome but not necessary -- I'll be happy to send some seeds of this extraordinary plant on gratis.
