hello! i am new to this community and i am excited about joining. i am also fairly new to shamanism. one of the problems of not having a teacher is that you must find your own shamanic blends and this is sometimes a very hard thing to do. i fear hat when i do experiment and make my own blend something will go wrong. i have many plants and herbs that i have recently purchased and i was wondering if any one knew of some blends. now i know of blends such as damiana and blue lotus and i understand that they must be well mixed but my problem is ratios. what ratios do these plants get mixed in. 70 30? 60 40? or maybe 50 50. and if you can please try to make your proportions by weight. and please NO CANNIBIS. i do believe it has powers but i also know that it is illeagal so it is off the list. now as for what im looking for experiance wise is something similar to K2 SUMMIT. i saw it as a great herbal blend but then to see that i waas being lied to and that it contained the lab chemical JWH-018 i was infuriated. im looking for a similar effect so please help.

Honestly, I don't think it is possible. There are only two ways of achieving a cannabis-like effect: use cannabis, or use a synthetic cannabinoid. After all, there is a reason that all "MJ substitutes" pretty much weren't until "Spice" came along.

If you're really interested in plant-based shamanism, it would probably make more sense to focus on the plants which are more traditionally associated with the shamanic pursuit, which mostly means plants containing visionary tryptamines and phenethylamines (and the occasional odd-ball, like S. divinorum or the night-shades).

I agree with Amomynous

JWH-018 is much stronger than anything you have mentioned and in all honesty you are not going to find anything nearly like that in any plant other than Cannabis. sorry but sometimes that's just the way things roll. :smoke:3

however if you do want to smoke something natural(and legal) and get something out of it, I suggest trying any of these plants:
Datura
Brugmansia
N. Rustica
Tegetes Lucida

(in my experience) other than those there are not a lot of legal plants that have any function when combusted and inhaled. and none of these have any effects similar to cannabis .

I would agree, but being Solenacea, you need to be very careful with these plants, lest death could result. But if you are interested in developing a relationship with them, smoking is probably the safest way.

QuoteN. Rustica

A good, strong plant (but again, a little care needs to be exercised).

QuoteTegetes Lucida

Not familiar with this one. Does it also contain atropine/scopolomine?

Hello,
I think that smoking Damiana feels like cannabis, I think so.  So smoking Damiana out of a glass pipe has good effects...

nah, it's totally unrelated to that family. it contains:
Anethole
Chavicol
Coumarin
Estragole
Isorhamnetin
Methyleugenol
Quercitin

now at about the synergistic blends such as damiana wild dagga and blue lotus? ive heard that that is very potent. also doe anyone ave information on wild lettuce? it seems to be the most promising of the plants that i have found. i mean it is nicknamed oppium lettuce

but as for a visionary plant i have really ben looking into coleus blumi. but as for me i find theat being high as a kite+being in the woods really allows me to get in touch/intune with nature its almost like i can hear the planet breathe it is almost an unexplainable feeling. much better then getting high with friends which all in all seems like a dumb idea to me because noone will experience the same thing that you are at the same time. its a time for self exploration. not for group exploration oh and this is a blend that i have found thgat seems promising but once agin no ratios. can someone give me input on what a good ratio would be?

Too Stoned Blend
Rubbed Mullein Leaf as a base
Calamus Root, small pieces or powder
Elephant's Head Buds, for calming effect and flavor
Coltsfoot, not so strong as to cause coughing fits

i was going to substitute the elephants head with indian warrior

Coleus are not visionary.

i thought they gave a similar effect to mushrooms. what do they do then?

If you truly would like to learn shamanism, I highly
recomend you go find an actual shamanic healer
and study under them. The science of it is ancient.
Why fuck around with powerfull things one does not understand
when you could be being taught by person who has been
training since they were a child eat'n breathed and sleep'd it
for 35 years or so?    I say this because, I began much like you.
If it were not for my master taking me in, slapping the demons
off my back, and teaching me to protect myself and much more,
I would have suffered a horrorable fate. Not to say I didn't learn alot
on my own, but I see now i was like mr. Magoo, and it's quite amazing
I never slipped over the edge.

   Peace, ~N~
