Well this is a hard choice as to where to properly post creative art. Should it be in the literary forum with cenacles poetry which flows in harmony across this forum or where.  It has some shrooms in it so should it be posted in the Forest Floor?

Okay gang, I made this image from cutouts and paste ups as a montage in black and white with no color.

I then pasted it together and scanned it and then pasted somemore cut ups from magazines and overlaid color from another piece of my art, a fractal eye cornea I created and I came out with this image, which I later made several different colored variations and added more to the other ones not shown here.

Hope you like this one.

Thanks a lot fellow psychonauts.  I am trying to improve on my conceptual visions I envision in my head and get them onto my computer with all of this expensive software/

I want to note that in the late 1960s and early to mid 1970s, I was pretty much of a 110% hippie and made peyote stitch beadwork, bracelets, chokers, etc. and I was into making collages and montages.

In 1964 I worked for Brotman and Sherman Theaters in Chicago. They owned 28 movie theaters in the state and I was their advertising and all around golfer who created their flyers for their movie theaters for the art films, the drive-ins. They had me doing all kinds of shit.  For $60.00 a week or so, about $1.35 an hour or about that.  I would paste up the movie ads for the movies playing at their theaters in Chicago, Joliet and Elgin, Oak Park and Lake Forest.   The ads for what is playing at the local theaters.  They also had me play guitar in the lobby of a few of their drive in theaters, and band also.

I would get the press release sheets with the images you see in the daily newspapers as to what is playing, cut them up, put showtimes, etc.

I burned plates, decveoped the fiml, pasteups and then printed them on abn AB DIck offset press and then deliver them to the theaters.  While doing this I played around with the printing press and would bleed colors inthe inker.  Instead of all black, I would put blue, red, greedm uellow orangea dnthenblue again, or mix the colors so the printed pages of the flyers and programs would bleed rainbows.  Long before The San Francisco ORacle did the same with their psychedelic hippie underground papers.

So I made posters of montages. I always used colored images form magazines and nevr black and white. I did them so they were professonal like a dali painting.  Surreal.  tthen I would lamenate the posters and sell them for as much as $600.00.

I only have a miniscule photo of one from 1970 which was on my living room floor with my four and a half-month-year-old daughter lying on it naked.  Somehow, it refelected into the lens and created a surreal image as a reflection of some sort because you can see the actual poster on the floor where Jennifer is perched head upon her belly.

I always made them 42 by 64, wide or tall.  Actually sold over about 150 of them in three years.  I belonged to a local comic club, collected them also, expecially EC and undergrounds and we had out meetings in a bank because themanager was also a collector.  I sold a lot to rich friends of his.  after lamenating them I put them in cheap frames.  And fro my divorce, a lot of my belongings were lost in the break-up.  SO this one picture remianed.  I want to show a simple Thai photo of a sunset with a fish montage, and a Gauguin image I made.

Sorry if there are typos buit the box I am typing in keeps jumping up and down since the typing is now at the bottom of the box. I have this problem at a few sites.  When I type, the page text jumps to the top of the box.

So here are three images of montages, including the opne of my daughter jennifer atr 4 1/2 months old in Chicago in 1970.

My Collage

This one is called Turtle Road (The Long and Winding Road)

[attachment=1:2bpx2xlb]collageturtleroad1.jpg[/attachment:2bpx2xlb]

This one is quite simple, a sunrise of the Chao Phaya River near the Delta in souothern Thailand just south of bangkok heading into the Guld of Thailand.  I added the fish and made a surreal image of it.  I sold the orioginal for $250.00.

And two more pasteup montages or collages. This one is dedicated to Gauguin whi lived in Tahiti and paintedstrange women and vegetated foilage.  Two Images.

When I type text in this box, when it reaches the bottom of the box, the text I type then starts popping the cursor up to the first word in the text. It would not even allow me to remove the last two lines of the above post.

Is there any way you can allow me to post more images at one time then 3.  Sometimes I have cool shroom or other plant image pictorials to post and it takes away from the full direction of what I am trying to say or post.

Here are two more smaller collages based on Gauguin.

John

Anyway, I have a few nice montages and collages in my files.  The last one I made was in 1997 for Dr. Mark Merlin at the University of Hawaii and I think he threw it away from his office at the U after I moved back to Seattle.  IT was really a cookl collage, one of the best I ever made.
Wish he would of kept it and sent it to me. I will ask him about it.  IF he has it maybe a picture would cheer me up about the matter
