question for the group.... retain or delete? and how far do we want this to go?
I find this to be pornography with few redeeming features and no literary merit.
although i am not easily offended i would rather people refrained from sex-text here...
interesting, is that the Lady Effie's work? .. i have heard of her and her cyber-sexploits and i really don't think it belongs out here on this forum .. there are a few sex sites already eh?

not my thing, but censorship is even more-so not my thing... for what it's worth

I see nothing wrong with any sort of writings posted to the Library, with the exception of obvious slander, copyright infringement, or overt hate speech.  But if it is decided to remove posts like this, maybe a disclaimer of some sort posted regarding 'allowed content' would seem less arbitrary.

As there have occasionally been postings that used a bit of sexual innuendo, and or humor at the ole site; I can't in good conscience vote for a removal or ban of such material.  {barring hate/racist/sexist sort of stuff}   Not my cup of tea much, but I agree with Diss that we here can weather such postings without having to react in a puritanical fashion...  (now, if you'll forgive me, I must be off to masturbate    )  senorsal

If we publish writing that is not our own, we need to have the author's permission.

About censorship of content - we've already been through this regarding self-incrimination and illegalities for real-life situations.

Now to censor fiction? I'm not in favour. Uncensored poetry is one of the sites i co-host.

Considering that Byron warned us in his title, it's our choice to read or not.
I'm in favour of free choice.

Yes.

Yes.

I'm okay with erotic literature being posted, but let's keep it tasteful and minimally disturbing.  Now I know those lines are pretty subjective--- but I figure we can at least agree to confine the subjects matter to acts between consenual adults, right?

Let's definitely not go down the road of pics and movies though, mmmkay?   Plenty of other places for that.

i'm moving this thread to the cave...i don't believe in censorship but there isn't much of value here, and it was not written by an SPF member...further, others have already weighed in with like opinions...i don't see the point of this except to see what forums will allow...

as moderator of this forum since its inception in 2001, this is only the fourth time i've had to take this action...i do it rarely but when need arises...
