A friend of mine defined "an akward age" as someone that hasn't heard of either Jeff Beck or Beck.

I am a huge Jeff Beck fan, I think he is the greatest living rock guitar player.

Not so wild about Beck. I have tried to like him but I just don't connect.

I dig Beck OK. I'd like to see his show.

ALways liked Jeff Beck's "Superstition."

Hulk dig Jeff Beck. Hulk blown away by artistic genius... :smoke:3

Artistic genius indeed. Speaking of genius, what about his bass player Tal Wilkenfeld. 22 year old woman plays bass like Jaco Pastorius, she is gonna be major I think.

I've seen both Becks live. Jeff Beck I found somewhat robotic, especially compared to the other performer that night, Carlos Santana. Single-name Beck put on a great show, full of rocking music and stage flash. Enjoyed them both, prefer Beck to Jeff Beck if asked to compare.

Oh, and Tal Wilkenfeld is very impressive.

Just saw Beck last night on Letterman..  I have been wanting to see/hear a performance of his , and I must say I was not very impressedexcept with that gal bass player...  Jeff Beck... Now there's one of 'the 'ole masters...  I used to play the Rough and Ready 8-track so much I had to buy 2 copies before cassettes became the new cool thing...  Speaking of 'Aint Superstitous';  I loved that song and so I made it a point to closely read the liner notes...  Seems the vocals were done by Rod Stewart!!!  Used to win dime bag bets with that lil tidbit of info.... :cool2

Female bassies are the wave of the future. Check out Esperanza Spaulding or Rhonda Smith.

Yeah they did. Did you see all the rockstars come out to watch Tal and Jeff bow down to her at the end?

Her other gig was with Chick Corea. Girl shows a little promise, eh?
