Taking the forums down for a while today

Short notice, I know... but I have the time and the will to do the upgrade today.

Hopefully it won't take long... maybe a few hours at most.

Hope to have everything back up at around 7-8pm CST

Ok so, that didn't go like I had hoped it would.
Something went awry after the upgrade and I think the database (the new one) got corrupted. So here we are back with the old one for now.

I'll try again next week or something.

I got a peak at it last night. It was interesting and I noticed all the mods were "global mods" in the new system. Is that the default or is that one setting? It might be good to make the mods global so they could take care of forums with absentee mods.

I'd just as soon stoney not be allowed to mod forums other than his own. He has shown bad judgement in this regard in the past.

I already have the ability to moderate all forums. I was hoping other mods would also gain that ability. Not that it's any of your business.

I'm guessing that ability will change with the new forums. It's just as much my bidness as yours. You been short leashed. My guess is that your past screw ups as mod will mean you lose that global mod title when the new software comes on-line.
