So what's with the stuff about Hillary not exactly bowing out, now that the delegate count is an official win for Obama???   Yeah,  I know that technically she can choose to merely be 'on hold' and thus keep acquiring contributions, keep the funding coming to pay her campaign bills, but jeez, what's the real reason she won't just go quitely into the night??....  I don't think it's just a matter of ego...  That's too pat,  too tranparent....  I can't see what she's thinking she can possibly to do 'leverage' anything to suit her objectives....What say the peeps?????????

I read somewhere that Hillary was promised the job of prez by the debil himself and that our gal has faith......

I think she is a sore loser who has no grace nor humility.

She's possibly still in denial, imo. One year ago, super delegates were lining up with their support. Now those same peeps are jumping ship. Nobody thought Hillary would be beat. I'm willing to bet she'd already picked out the drapes and carpets for her new/old digs.

But if you have paid attention, you will have noticed that Hillary has rarely congratulated her opponent on his victories nor took the blame for her losses. There have always been others to blame.

Hillary feels entitled to the presidency, imo. And she's put up with a lot of shite from her husband, swallowed her pride too many times to fall short of her goal now.

Yeah, Sal, don't forget that Hill "loaned" money to her campaign. Everything that comes in now goes straight to her own pocket. She is openly angling for the VP slot. I think it would be a big mistake, what do you think?

I'm glad she lost. Ding dong the witch is dead.

I dunno about her angling for the vp spot....  I don't think so actually....  I wouldn't want to see her there because as I have stated before;  I think Hill is part of the 'old dem school', and therefore not a viable option, assuming one is wanting actual changes, some bits of reality to appear in thwe US foreign policies etc.....  Hell,  I must say, I do expect to see some real change if Obama gets it...  Whether for good or bad, of course, remains to be witnessed / experienced / suffered through

I guess everyone has heard of the get together that Hillary and Obama had yesterday at (I believe) Nancy Pelosis' office...  At any rate, as far as I can tell, there has not been a single word as to what the two  discussed...Makes my mind twist down all sorts of avenues, imagining countless scenarios....  It has been reprted that Hill specifically stated that she is not interested in the VP slot....  Yep,  I'd imagine her ego just could not accept that....  Hey,  :P  :P   Here's one 'fer 'da peeps to chew on:  Say Obama becomes the next Pres and Hillary gets Condi Rices' old job  -----  I'd like to see that, just to watch the inevtable media frenzy that would ensue........

Personally, I would not want to see Hill get any govt post. I don't like her being a senator. But that's just my own point of view. Billy bought the senate seat for her with his presidential powers making deals with all kinds of groups.

If she said she isn't interested in the vp job, it would be because she has no chance at it. I haven't heard a word publicly saying that so I doubt she said it. I imagine she is trying to keep her chances open. Why wouldn't she want the job? It would be a stepping stone to the presidency. Her big ego would prefer that to a lowly senators job.

I also hope Condi gets no job in the new administration. She's carried water for Bush too long for my taste. Colin at least showed some class, unlike her.

Ed Rendell for VP?

As for Colin Powell, that poor guys was fucked over having to go to the UN, not knowing his credibility was going to be ruined for the sake of the rest of those imbeciles.

Yaeh, I always sort of had a degree of sympathy for Colin...  It seemed to me that the administration callously used Powells inate sense of integrity to sell whatever crap they were trying to foist on the people....  Can you imagine a basically honest and decent man, having to justify the Bush cabal, then going home that evening and having to deal with looking into the mirror....    BTW:  welcome back Winder.  Great to see you around........

winder has been back, he just doesn't spend as much time on the net as he used to.

I agree with what's said about Powell. Condi on the other hand doesn't seem to worry too much about whether what she says is true or more bs from shrub.

I think I mentioned in the other thread that Hill did not "end" her campaign, she "suspended" it. So she can pocket whatever is left in the bank.
