I was blessed with flower buds on my caapi and now I see flower buds on my rivea. The plant is fairly old, maybe 6 or 7 years. This is the first year it's tried to flower. They look like little purple and green cones. None have opened yet. I'll have to figure out how to post photos here since my caapis are also flowering. I'm sure a few will want to see the flowers.

great work!  do your flower/buds look anything like these?

Yes they do, Kada. I have a nice photo of a flower cluster but the photo upload does not work for me here. They open, look nice for a few hours and then fall off leaving nothing behind. How are yours doing?

do you think it may be too cold at night?

mine are good, last for 1-2 days then start to die.  none have fallen off yet, but its still early.

I don't think the cold has much to do with it. Some of my flowers fall off before opening, some after opening. Flowering is about done for the rivea and my caapi both. First time either of them flowered so I guess seeds were too much to expect.
