Chinaexecutes former food and drug regulator for taking bribes in return for giving the thumbs up to unsafe medicine, a punishment akin to getting pulled over and shot in the head for breaking the speed limit while keeping up with everyone else on the highway.

Actually, the guy who got the death sentence was indirectly responsible for many deaths himself. Hardly like speeding. Plus he got a deferred sentence and may end up just doing 7 to 10 years, kind of light really.

I'd like to see that sort of accountability here instead of the zero accountability they have today. Now, if someone loses their job that is considered harsh.

This is what I read, "The appeal was rejected on June 22 and he was executed on July 10, 2007.". If you can show me where it says his appeal was granted I'd gladly read it.

OK, I was thinking of the more recent death sentence. The guy you are talking about was at the top and directly responsible for many deaths. Speeding indeed!

Not to mention animal deaths from when the Chinese poisoned our dog food.

Over 700 tubes of poisonous counterfeit toothpaste were seized in Connecticut, according to The New York Times. The toothpaste is flavored with diethylene glycol, a sweet-tasting chemical more commonly found in anti-freeze. It can cause liver and kidney damage if swallowed.

ya that guy is certainly dead.  its weird how they respond so swiftly and harshly with something that afflicts their bigger international interests, yet still make up and falsify many things to cover up things from them.

to me it seems like they want their government drones to do things, not necessarily this, but once they find out, you get the axe...shit deal.

the status quo.
