I popped back to see if much has moved on.......and now im being accused of attention seeking.

I came on here, respectful of the community you already have going here, and politelly introduced myself and what I do.


To be honest...Ive got no real issue.....but i tend to get defensive at comments like the one LW made.........

Instead....i'll not name call...but i'll point out that where i come from...men take responsibility for their own emotions.
Dont lay your guilt on me. It would be more evolutionary to look inside and ask, why am i feeling guilty?? (ive just had to do the same and ask myself why i threw a strop because someone doesnt like drum machines...SILLY eh?.....My guilt came from knowing deep down i just made the same mistake i always make...<throwing my toys out the pram>.....wheres your guilt from??)

I for one am glad you'll be around, don't let these old guys rustle your feathers, they have noting better to do all day. And yes, I totally agree about the guilt thing. Im very surprised to see one of our own blame someone else for his own guilt.

Hey Nanook! Wow, I totally missed this thread. Welcome! I think JRL's comment on music, where he says good music is good music however it's made, is my thought too. In our day, electronica is the controversial musical art form. I bet electrified instruments were once upon a time. Or even recorded music itself back when.

I just think the gifted souls who choose to pursue their art obsessively will prove their worth whether a capella, acoustic, electric, electronic, some combination. I'm no great fan of country music or rap, but sometimes a song hits me and I nod, yah, sweetness! And I love rock music, but some of it sucks! Or, worse, is just mediocre, derivative, not worth even yelling about.

Good is good under whatever hood :twisted:

I'll make this as succinct as possible: I've no beef with you Nanook, but for the last 8 years I have seen people come and people go on several different message boards, and invariably the drama queens have to announce that they are leaving, that things have changed, that things aren't what they thought they were, blah, blah, blah. The 'like-minded folk' that I relate to just come and go as they please without the need to announce every departure.

I'm sorry if it was all to easy for me to see you in the same light, but it gets old after a while...
