HELP! Gnats infesting everything !

I would like to add that covering the surface of your soil with sand should break the lifecycle of your infestation. Any eggs laid in the soil will contnue to develop, but it will prevent anymore from being laid.

We had gnats and sand was suggested by someone at the local nursery. Worked like a charm. Still a few desultory gnats who manage to survive, but nowhere near the infestation we were experiencing.
