Hey it's Seamac the Pollinator Guy and his army of secret pollinators.

 Do you rent those???
I could probably use a few more...mine are addicted to sugar water, and are spoiled.

Hey, it's Jupe!

The most professional Gardener I know! Folks, I Kid You not: he's got the Biggest Salvia Divinorum patch this side of Hawaii!! Whatever he's told you (Like Bt for Organically Killing Caterpillars), Listen Carefully, cause it's Pure Gold!

(Of Course, YOU already figured that out, didn't you.)

Yeah, Jupe - I'll rent you 6 extra (Nuisance) male Anna's at $20 a week. (They'll ALL be males: I'm keeping the egg layers down here with me. {to assure the Males come back} )

Be warned: they'll ONLY pollinate where you'll be able to SEE seeds have set but UNABLE to harvest them.

They are willful little beasts:

Always Slackin off ....

As I go along through the Flowering Season this year I'll be replacing the Photos I took last year with MUCH Clearer ones from my new Olympus.

Today I replaced 1 old Picture from last year:

with a NEW One.
(This is just the Linking THUMBNAIL!):

It will be interesting to see if your success is replicable.  I've tried hand pollinating before with no luck.  Hummingbirds are out of season here when the salvia's bloom.  I've thought about forcing some into flower early, but haven't got around to it.
...and as if from the inception of time itself I realized I was and had been for sometime, elsewhere, elsewhen or somehow, quite seriously, otherwise...

Hi Buddy,

Jupe will get some. So will I.

Just remember to DIRECTLY touch the Anthers to the Stigma: Don't attempt to use a Paintbrush to transfer Pollen. No one has had success doing it that way ....

Best Regards, Carl

Jupe is Doing it as we speak.  All he has to remember is which of the Hundreds of Blossoms he has Pollinated .....

Jupe has Extra HELP Too!

There's a Hummingbird in the Middle there Pollinating: I put a Green Oval around her.

Jupe took the Picture and Claimed the Hummingbird WAS in there Pollinating. I brightened the Picture and found her.

His Plants have already set seeds I'm sure. In a Couple of weeks We'll know for Sure ....

I'm so Sure I mailed him the Latest seed Capture Technology (Apple Bags A5858: 2 mil Ziploc Bags 5/8" by 5/8") last week ....

glad you like them.....heres  one  of an interesting perspective of a raceme, you can see the stigma, after they have released pollen.

Much thanx to Carl for the baggies!!! Teeniest bags, 1/2x1/2 inch!!

Dan from Malibu came up for a visit, and while while we were fooling around with flowers, the female hummer came by for treats, a bee showed up, and some wasps as well......we did find some swellings, we won't know if they will ripen in cold of not, but temps here are really close to Maztec highlands, especially at the higher elevations.

Just curious what do the flowers smell like? I'd love one of those pressed and dried for a very special framed art piece or an amazing laminated  bookmark. :P

Peace
