HI all, I have some pics of 2 of my brugs in my image gallery.  I am hoping to I.D them both.  I know little about brugmanisa I.D, one of them is a variegated version and has amazing yellow angel's trumpet flowers( it flowered once in summer and again in november!  The other has never flowered but was taken from a cutting only a few inches high at the start of the summer....just look at it now!
The condition of either isn't amazing, the variegated one i took lots of cuttings from a few monthes back and now looks very shabby..lets remember it has survived outside all winter so far!

Any I.D you can gleam from either will be most appreciated!  The link to the gallery is:

I'm a brug newbie myself so can't help you. I have one I got from Winder that will probably flower later this year. Good luck with yours.

The Brug I have (2 indoor planters, 5 cuttings propagated in clay pots and up to 9 rooting in a fish bowl) are all from the same 1 plant I got in trade and have since sent to Stonehenge.  They are yellow and smell wonderful indoors.  They bloomed this November.  The cuttings I recently took looked as if they were starting to set new blossoms, so I might have missed out on the next crop of flowers.  But I am looking forward to the new fence line of Brugs I will have this summer, along side my yuccas, which are emerging as the snow retreats.

As for Brug IDs, it seems best to rely on the blossoms, not the leaves.
Maybe the photogallery at erowid.org can help with the matching of blossoms to species.

Well, if your brug is variegated, then it's a hybrid. And, you can feel safe to call it: Brugmansia variegated hybrid with yellow blooms. If ya'll feel like doing some trades, I have B. sauveolens peach and yellow, also some hybrids: betty marshall, dr. seuss and citronella. Oh, and a variegated white (I think, it's white) from greenstranger. They are all currently residing the garage (in sleep mode), so it will take some time for cuttings. But, if your a brug-head like me, time is the least of concerns.

Here is an image of either betty marshall or citronella. I'm thinking citronella:

This image is from 2002, so I'm not really sure which hybrid it is. I should really remember to change the image file names to something descriptive.
